Transmission Engineering
UC Synergetic provides a wide range of solutions for issues related to electric transmission. Our expertise includes line routing studies and recommendations, analysis and design of structures and foundations, survey services, and the development of drawings, specifications and other project-related materials. We offer a full range of project management capabilities, as well as coordination and administration of material bid and requisition, permitting and inspection.

Substation Physical Design
UC Synergetic provides design, procurement and project management services for transmission/distribution substations, as well as industrial substation applications. Our capabilities include site survey and layout, fencing, equipment physical layout and specification, structure and bus work design and specification, foundation design, ground grid, lightning protection, bill-of-material and bid package development and project management. Protection and Control
UC Synergetic's Protection & Control (P&C) group has extensive experience in the application of P&C schemes for substation equipment ranging from 4.16kV to 765kV. Our designs offer a complete solution by including protection, control and SCADA. We have broad design experience applying any type of protection zones. The P&C group's SCADA experience includes designing the station LAN, applying communication settings to each relay, applying custom point maps in each relay and configuring the RTU.

Distribution Engineering
UC Synergetic offers innovative approaches to electric and gas distribution engineering problems. Our services include large distribution system improvement projects; creating highly complex designs for network underground systems; utility pole relocations; developing complex designs for industrial and large commercial applications (such as three-phase loop designs and alternate feed systems); and residential and commercial lighting design. Field Services

UC Synergetic provides an array of service offerings grouped together under the heading Field Services. Chief among these are meter services, which includes installing new digital, automated meters; meter repair; meter reading; dispatching and tracking, etc. Our trained experts will supplement your workforce and allow you to reallocate human capital to address other issues.

Field services also includes managing joint use pole projects, including conducting initial pole audits, mapping, permitting, make-ready design, and post inspection after the new user has attached to the pole. UC Synergetic has a dedicated team of engineers who are experts in electrical, gas, and communications planning and strategy. Our Consulting team has a high degree of technical skill and expertise in engineering analysis tools and industry best practices. Their expertise focuses on three primary areas: system planning and development; reliability and system protection; and engineering and economic studies.

Our energy delivery services include assisting utilities with addressing NERC, FERC and IEEE standard changes; Arc Flash studies and training; circuit coordination; voltage drop and power factor studies; designer training; and development of RFPs and business case studies, to name a few.

Wireless Services
UC Synergetic is ideally positioned to serve the needs of the wireless industry. Our communications and power capabilities allow us to effectively work with all key stakeholders to provide distributed antenna systems (DAS) as well as cellular tower services.

We have been actively deploying DAS networks since 2004. Serving the industry’s leading companies, we have completed the design and implementation of more than 1,000 nodes in a host of metropolitan and rural areas including Boston, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Baltimore, Raleigh, and Dallas, among others.

UC Synergetic offers a wide range of services to tower-based cellular communications clients delivering design and installation services of new tower locations as well as existing site upgrades. Our experience and knowledge base of existing fiber carrier networks allows us to promote and discover competitive opportunities to provide site services including right of way, RF design, and OSP engineering. Wireline LEC Services
UC Synergetic has been providing services nationally to the local exchange carrier (LEC) community since 1969. Services include professional staffing, planning, OSP engineering, records management, make ready, joint use audits and clerical services.

We have designed more than 1,000,000 homes passed with Fiber to the Home across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions of the country. UC Synergetic has experience across the legacy copper plant network environment, as well as with the latest advancements with technology for Fiber to the Node, Fiber to the Home, Passive Optical Networks, and hybrid wireless network design for broadband into rural environments.
